greeNEWit at Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival to Talk Home Energy

HYATTSVILLE, MD - Come join greeNEWit, a sustainability company that helps you save money on energy bills, at the sixth annual Hyattsville Arts Festival. The outdoor event will be held September 14, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and Jefferson Street in downtown Hyattsville. Admission is free and greeNEWit will have a booth to raise awareness for the low and no cost energy efficiency programs made available through the Empower Maryland Energy Efficiency Act.

Presented by the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, greeNEWit will be signing people up for Quick Home Energy Check-ups, Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Energy Audits and introducing attendees to renewable energy by providing information about solar panel installations by SolarCity. The festival will also present more than 70 local artists, musicians and dancers showcasing their work. As the event will be bringing together several art schools to offer children’s arts activities throughout the day, greeNEWit will also have an activity station at their booth for children to learn about saving resources and clean energy.
